Doug began roofing in the Eastern Sierra in the summer of 1995. He later moved to Colorado and joined South Western Metal Systems in Denver as a foreman.
In 2000 he joined efforts with two other Mono County locals and became a partner in SM Roofing. The time with SM Roofing took him places he never imagined and he learned more about the roofing business than he thought possible. From pitching in on the war efforts by refurbishing flight hangers in the Marshall Islands to roofing million dollar homes in the finest areas of the Rocky Mountains. It was truly the opportunity of a lifetime.
In the summer of 2005 after he and his wife had their first child they decided it was time to come home. This is when the process of opening A Bowlan Roofing began. Since day one the company has thrived on referrals. Doug has pride in every job that he does and is present and available on every site.
